In February schools across Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division celebrated French Second Language week and the celebrations were particularly vibrant in our French Immersion schools: Arthur Pechey, Debden, Vickers and Carlton. It is an exciting time for students to celebrate their knowledge of French and for non-French Immersion students to experience a little of the French experience. Students in École Vickers Public School enjoyed at traditional French snack with their English counterparts, learned to play the wooden spoons, often used to accompany traditional Acadian or Quebecois fiddle music. It was a celebration enjoyed by all!
