Our annual SPIRIT WEEK was held the week of October 26, 2020. It may have looked a bit different this year as we continue to be diligent in our efforts to carefully practice hand sanitizing, masking and physical distancing when we are in school and in our non-school life too. However, what remains the same is our enthusiasm and focus on growing our amazing school culture and having fun. On Tuesday, a school-wide quiz gave students the opportunity to see how well they knew the Wesmor staff to win a Wesmor swag bag. Wednesday our school was a sea of burgundy, black and silver as we all showed our school spirit by wearing school colours. If you were having a bad hair day on Thursday, no worries, because it was Hat Day. Finally, on Friday even our therapy dog, Finley, got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up. The annual costume parade couldn’t happen in the KIOSK this year. Instead, four of our impartial staff toured classrooms to check out the amazing, creative costumes students were wearing and prizes were awarded for originality and creativity.
At Wesmor, we are always building a community of learners where learning is joyful, culture is affirmed and students are given real choice for their future while maintaining a focus on the processes we have in place to limit and prevent transmission, which has been working. We are in this together and together we will continue to have fun, learn and support one another. Please join us for Block 2 starting this week.
