Purpose: To update and discuss changes to the VTRA/ARTO process and language, as well as highlighting the crucial pieces of the process. We will also be spending time discussing scenarios from our own experiences.
Learning Intentions: The learning intentions of Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) training generally focus on equipping participants with the skills, knowledge, and tools to effectively assess and respond to potential threats of violence. 1. Understanding Threat Assessment Principles 2. Identifying Risk Factors 3. Building Collaborative Teams 4. Conducting Assessments 5. Intervening and Managing Risk 6. Legal and Ethical Considerations 7. Practical Application and Scenarios 8. Promoting Safe Environments
Success Criteria: Participants will feel refreshed and up to date with the recent changes to the VTRA model and gain insight in how to navigate complex cases through discussion with colleagues. |
