A huge thank you to the Red Cross for facilitating the Healthy Relationships in Youth training seminar. Big River Public High School hosted staff and grade 7-12 students from Shellbrook, Riverside, Spiritwood and Big River for 2 days of fantastic training.
The seminar helped teens gain in depth knowledge and skills to develop healthy relationships, prevent dating violence and support stronger communities. These student leaders will now be able to bring the skills learned back to their school and continue to make a difference in their lives and the lives of their peers, families and communities.
Special thanks to Scott McHenry and Levi Steinhauer for facilitating the two days. The staff and students were treated to a fantastic presentation as well as introduced to specrouses for the first time. Empowering youth to make a difference is one more way to provide excellence for every learner.
