Purpose:
How do we plan for ALL learners right from the start so we can be inclusive, effective and efficient?
Learning Intentions: Based on Shelley Moore’s 5 P’s of inclusion, this workshop will focus on planning with specific students in mind in middle years grades (Gr. 6-9). Participants will explore practical universal strategies which aim to support diverse learners through inclusive environments, differentiation of instruction, and assessments using real-life examples. Concepts incorporated into the workshop: Universal Design for Instruction, Response to Intervention, Collaborative Models of Support
Success Criteria: Walk away with concrete planning tools and strategies to designed to support the needs of all students.
