Thursday, April 30, 2020, eight teachers, four EAs, two secretaries and three bus drivers set out on a country side adventure. Our caravan of 17 vehicles was led over 186 km through Wild Rose territory by our three amazing bus drivers – Barry, Richard and Yvan! We wouldn’t have been able to do this without their help – some of us may have been lost after the first few turns – and we are so thankful for them. Staff decorated their vehicles, put on their biggest smiles, and primed their horns – we were ready to see our kids! Although we love our weekly classroom Google Meets, seeing you face to face is so much better! On our travels, we saw 81 of our 93 Wild Rose students and many of their family members (including a few special kids who will be in Kindergarten next year)! A huge shout out to our students for waving and cheering as we drove by – we felt the love – and we hope you felt it too! We were sad we couldn’t fist bump, high five or hug – but you filled our hearts regardless.
The TEAM of Wild Rose staff, students, and families is what makes this school so amazing! We can’t wait until we can all be back together again! Stay healthy and keep learning everyone!
